LUX* Chongzuo, Guangxi (74 Keys) is located in the Mingshi Village, Daxin County in Chongzuo City about 37 kilometres away from the well-known Detian Transnational Waterfall and about 210 kilometres away from the capital city of Guangxi Zhuang, an autonomous region in southern China.

LUX* Chongzuo, Guangxi is projected to open in two phases and the first phase will be in January 2021.

The Human Resources Manager will report to the General Manager of LUX* Chongzuo and will work in very close collaboration with the Group Human Resources Function in Mauritius.

The incumbent will be responsible for the performance of the Human Resources department of the resort. The principal Key Result Areas of the incumbent will be as follows:

  • Oversee the recruitment, training, development and evaluation of the resort’s Team Members.
  • Play a lead role in manpower planning, disciplinary procedures and Health & Safety issues.
  • Establish and implement the annual objectives for the resort’s Human Resources Team.
  • Maintain a good relationship with the Ministry of Labour and Social Security in China and all relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain and ensure that all Human Resources policies and procedures are in place.
  • Respond in a courteous and professional manner to the Team Members’ queries and provide assistance.
  • Play a lead role in ensuring that Team Members have all the required learning and development opportunities in order to offer a world class service to the resort’s Guests.
  • Lead the administration of performance appraisals and talent development in all departments.
  • Establish and maintain excellent employment relations.
  • Participate actively in the budget process.
  • Coach and counsel Team Members.
  • Work closely with the General Manager to ensure the achievement of strategic goals and objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Tertiary Education at Degree level in Human Resources Management or Management from a recognised institution or equivalent qualifications.
  • Postgraduate qualifications would constitute a definite advantage.
PREVIOUS PERFORMANCE
  • A minimum of 10 years of working experience in the Human Resources field.
  • A minimum of 4 years of working experience in a similar position in the hospitality industry in China preferably in Guangxi region.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS 
  • Robust experience in the pre-opening of resorts.
  • Sound Knowledge of Employment and Safety & Health Legislations.
  • Sound knowledge of compensation and benefits administration.
  • Solid proven experience in dealing with Trade Unions.
  • Passionate about service.
  • High levels of integrity.

  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational and analytical skills.
  • Excellent Problem Solving skills.
  • Strong Project Management skills.

  • Excellent written and communication skills in both English and Mandarin languages.
  • Conversant with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Sound knowledge of any related Human Resources Management System.
  • Readiness to act as Duty Manager and work flexible hours.
  • Clean Certificate of Character.
