We are searching for a Head of Retread for our retread operations for Wingfoot Co Ltd. Candidates with proven track records in similar position will definitely be advantageous.
Duties & Responsibilities
- To perform all administration duties and assist the Retread Coordinator on a daily basis.
- To implement and monitor the procurement strategy of the Company
- To ensure the efficiency and monitoring of all the machinery and supervision of process controllers, to ensure production of quality product in desired quantities and in a safe manner.
- On-line processing of invoices.
- Conduct End of month procedures.
- Prepare documentation required for customs and export as and when required.
- Provide accurate data for preparation of yearly budgets.
- Obtain customer forecasts and report to BU Manager
- To provide “Customers” with excellent service and to assist in the inventory control and overall efficient running of the stores as well as maintaining a high standard of safety and housekeeping.
- Effectively and efficiently assisting in the operation of the retreading process according to procedure to produce product at the required rate and market specification
- Follow up with customers to ensure maximum collection of retread tyres.
- Close monitoring of debtors and to ensure that clients effect payment according to company’s credit facility.
- Ascertain product and transport availability. Checks stock and provide customer with delivery date and inform customer if problems occur.
- Receive customer complaints/complements and process through the complaints system.
- To monitor and control raw materials, plant process and support systems necessary to production. To ensure final product quality conforms to specification.
- To contribute to the growth and profitability of the company.
- To ensure the proper and timeout collection of invoiced sales from customers, whilst ensuring that all internal controls relating to sales are adhered to.
- Assist with the proper cash flow management of the business.
- Accept and process orders for correct product, delivery date and quantity, for customer to receive right product, quantity and date required.
- Receive clients and acknowledge delivery of retread tyres as and when required.
Qualifications and experience
- At least 5 years of experience in Retread and new tyre business.
- Minumum a degree in Engineering or any other equivalent qualifications pertaining to the job position.
- Good customer service skills
- Proactive, energetic and the ability to work in teams
- Flexible & problem-solving skills
- Good Communications skills
- Computer Literate (Word/ Excel/ Powerpoint)
- Candidate with proven track record in tyre business will definitely be advantageous.
