The HR and Talent Development Manager supports the people management functions that underpin the business culture. The broad areas include: employee matters, salary and benefits, reward, talent growth, communications and performance management

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The primary job responsibilities will be to:

  • Lead and direct the Human Resource team to deliver comprehensive HR services to the hotel
  • Oversee recruitment & develop retention management strategies
  • Manage employee relations disciplinary matters and grievances
  • Measure employee satisfaction and together with the heads of department identify areas that require improvement
  • Maintain the health & safety and the welfare of all employees
  • Manage the performance management system
  • Advise on rewards and has a thorough knowledge of the company benefits
  • Develop a talent development program and provide guidance on development for managers and their teams Implement new HR policies, procedures and processes
  • In conjunction with the Group HR Manager, ensure all company policies and procedures are up to date in line with current employment law

 

DESIRED SKILLS and EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 5 years of proven generalist HR experience including the ability to work at both operational and strategic level
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent
  • Influencing, persuading, coaching and negotiating skills
  • Ability to represent the Human Resource function as part of the bigger business picture
  • Confident directing HR and advising managers on all aspects of people management and development
  • Fully conversant and up-to-date with all aspects of employment law and HR best practices
  • Previous experience in industrial relations management
  • Capacity to anticipate future needs and identify opportunities to learn new things for current and future needs in the department
  • Facility to think laterally to identify and develop creative solutions
  • Used to take action to improve standards of excellence
  • Ability to manage the stress effectively
