The HR and Talent Development Manager supports the people management functions that underpin the business culture. The broad areas include: employee matters, salary and benefits, reward, talent growth, communications and performance management
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The primary job responsibilities will be to:
- Lead and direct the Human Resource team to deliver comprehensive HR services to the hotel
- Oversee recruitment & develop retention management strategies
- Manage employee relations disciplinary matters and grievances
- Measure employee satisfaction and together with the heads of department identify areas that require improvement
- Maintain the health & safety and the welfare of all employees
- Manage the performance management system
- Advise on rewards and has a thorough knowledge of the company benefits
- Develop a talent development program and provide guidance on development for managers and their teams Implement new HR policies, procedures and processes
- In conjunction with the Group HR Manager, ensure all company policies and procedures are up to date in line with current employment law
DESIRED SKILLS and EXPERIENCE:
- At least 5 years of proven generalist HR experience including the ability to work at both operational and strategic level
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent
- Influencing, persuading, coaching and negotiating skills
- Ability to represent the Human Resource function as part of the bigger business picture
- Confident directing HR and advising managers on all aspects of people management and development
- Fully conversant and up-to-date with all aspects of employment law and HR best practices
- Previous experience in industrial relations management
- Capacity to anticipate future needs and identify opportunities to learn new things for current and future needs in the department
- Facility to think laterally to identify and develop creative solutions
- Used to take action to improve standards of excellence
- Ability to manage the stress effectively
