We are looking for a responsible Safety & Health Officer on a part time basis to ease compliance with local Occupational Safety & Health legislations. The person will provide advice on actions to diminish hazards or unhealthy circumstances.
The best applicant will be a responsible person who swears by OSH regulations. The person will be largely focused on prevention so he needs to be careful and perceptive. The ideal candidate will also be detail-oriented and ready to act in emergencies.
The objective is to have a safe workplace according to legal principles and foster a culture of attention to health and safety.
As defined in the Occupational Safety & Health Act 2005 and not limited to the below:
- Guide on provisions to minimize safety risks
- Counsel and educate on various safety-related topics
- Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures
- Organize and conduct OSH training plans
- Cooperate with managers to monitor compliance and find safety issues
- Coordinate with and report to official regulatory bodies on OSH matters
REQUIREMENTS
- Proactive and self-motivated
- A diploma or degree in Occupational Safety & Health
- knowledge of legislation (e.g. OSHA) and procedures
- Information of potentially hazardous materials or practices
- Familiarity in writing reports and policies for health and safety
- organizational skills
- Hardworking with great attention to detail
- Involvement as a Safety and Health Officer in the BPO/ICT sector is desirable
- Good communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics
