LUX* Chongzuo, Guangxi (74 Keys) is located in the Mingshi Village, Daxin County in Chongzuo City about 37 kilometres away from the well-known Detian Transnational Waterfall and about 210 kilometres away from the capital city of Guangxi Zhuang, an autonomous region in southern China.

LUX* Chongzuo, Guangxi is projected to open in two phases and the first phase will be in January 2021.

The General Manager will act as the primary strategic business leader of LUX* Chongzuo and will be responsible to drive successfully all activities of the resort in order to ensure high service delivery that will eventually translate into higher brand recognition.

The ideal candidate will be responsible to develop and implement successful programs in order to ensure that operational excellence, financial, Guest satisfaction and Team Member engagement objectives are achieved.

While taking a strategic overview and planning ahead to maximise profits, the General Manager must also pay attention to the details, demonstrating exceptional work ethics thus setting the example for Team Members to deliver a LUX* Shining service in line with the brand guidelines and Vision, Purpose and Values and be fully committed to them.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Tertiary education at Degree level from a recognised institution majoring in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management or Tourism Management or Business Administration or equivalent qualifications.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Management or related fields would be a definite advantage.

PREVIOUS PERFORMANCE

  • A minimum of 15 years of working experience at managerial level with luxury international hospitality brands.
  • A minimum of 3 years of working experience as General Manager in a luxury branded resort.
  • A minimum of 5 years of working experience in mainland China.
  • Excellent command of Hospitality and preferably in Food & Beverage service management.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Excelling in driving and taking ownership of all aspects including pre-opening and post-opening of hotels.
  • Extensive knowledge of the local market and domestic tourism in Guangxi region and vicinity.
  • Proven success in driving commercial strategy to exceed business goals.
  • Thoughtful leadership with ability to build strong service culture and positive work environment for Team Members to thrive.
  • Possess strong commercial acumen, with experience in increasing profitability.
  • Responsible for enhancing the top line revenue.
  • Experience in managing budgets, revenue proposals, and forecasting results in a similar sized property.
  • Strong ability to manage distribution channels.
  • Exceptional relationship management skills and the ability to build and grow connections with property owners and stakeholders.
  • Excellent knowledge of hotel operations as well as high level of corporate knowledge with regards to company goals is a definite asset.
  • Must be a fast learner, understand and be completely knowledgeable of local hotel laws, rules and regulations.
  • Extremely creative and innovative.
  • Strong managerial and administrative abilities; a task master with excellent organisational, technical, analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • A keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent written and communication skills in both Mandarin and English languages.
  • A clean certificate of character is a must.
