Gardener

You will be responsible for creating, designing, maintaining and managing gardens.

MAIN DUTIES

• Mows, trims and fertilizes green spaces, trees, bushes and lawn.
• Monitors and maintains the health of plants.
• Deals with pest problems that could damage plants.
• Cleans grounds and gardens to keep clear of debris.
• Applies supplements and nutrients to lawn and plants as required.
• Ensure that all garden equipment is correctly maintained and serviced.

 QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

• At least 5 years hands-on experience as a Gardener in Hotels.
• Knowledge of local pests and how to eliminate them.
• Good knowledge of plant supplements and nutrients.
• Good Knowledge of organic gardening methods and techniques

 SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

• A love of the outdoors and plant life
• Ability to use a wide range of horticultural machinery and powered hand tools.
• Able to work as part of a team or individually.
• Familiarity with landscaping design.
• Physically in good shape.
