GBO CREDIT CONTROLLER - Focusing on French Accounts & Brokers

As a Credit controller you work on accurate and timely execution of all accounting topics concerning settlement with broker, co-/reinsurer as well as policyholder. This includes all credit control activities including the monitoring of receivables.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role candidate should..

• Understanding of insurance industry and receivables/payables in Accounting
• Identify and analyze all accounts differences and liaise with Counterparties to ensure that bookings are correctly performed and differences are resolved in a professional manner and on a timely basis
• Work with third party collection agencies as required
• Coordination, clarification and settlement of items that have not been balanced, as well as resolving differences with internal and external counterparties
• Takeover of the credit control function for accounts receivable / payable and corresponding account reconciliations, as assigned.
• Coordination and transfer of data to allocation team as and when required
Coordination of payment settlements with brokers and reinsurers, in particular the control of outstanding AGCS balances.
• Documentation of guidelines, job descriptions and workflows of the assigned areas of responsibility and archiving of records in accordance with audit and legal requirements. In this context, you can also design standards for quality improvement.
• Cooperation with other departments (such as operations, accounting, claims) in setting up processes, booking flows and completeness checks for correctness.
• Maintaining a cooperative relationship with external brokers. Professional and timely customer service for internal and external customers
• Chasing and coordinating French Brokers to bring in the open outstanding balances from internal and external counterparties
• Ensure that all required TAT, SLA and KPIs are met consistently
• Identify opportunities to improve and add value to services and products by implementing ideas
• Anticipates potential difficulties in meeting targets and takes action to avoid
• Highlights risk or failure to the Service Delivery Team

REQUIREMENTS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE

• Degree holder (Finance preferred) or equivalent work experience.
• Understanding of Finance in an international environment. Ideally, you have experience in
insurance industry with major focus on accounting and finance is preferred
• Analytical skills and the ability to understand and interpret data and processes.
• Excel skills to analyze data as required
• Good communication skills and the ability to work efficiently in a professional, international
work environment.
• Fluent in French and good knowledge of English Language is mandatory
