Carry out all repairs and maintenance of various electrical systems as directed by the Chief Engineer

1.   KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Carry out all repairs and maintenance of various electrical systems as directed by the Chief Engineer or his designate.
• Replace all faulty lamps and check electrical appliances and sockets for correct operation.
• Service and repair on various types of electrical equipment such as laundry equipment, kitchen equipment, heating, ventilating and air conditioning equipment including motors, pumps, fans, water treatment plants, sewage plant and electricity generators.

• Repair and maintain all electrical circuits in all areas of the hotel premises including any new additional/extensions to the hotel or any other properties maintained by the hotel and install and modify electrical systems and equipment in accordance with the established codes and standards.
• Carry out repair and preventive maintenance of all electrical panels/equipment.
• Advise Chief Engineer or his designate on all improvements to present electrical systems.
• Check and confirm quality of electrical materials/supplies brought by suppliers for use in the hotel.
• Attend to all types of repair and maintenance work in the hotel premises including any new additional/extension to the hotel or any other properties maintained by the hotel.
• Comply with hotel’s Health and Safety Policy.
• Carry out maintenance orders and periodic repairs and maintenance schedules as assigned by Hotel Engineer or his designate.
• Attend all in-house and outside catering functions.
• Check and inspect all public areas and elevators.
• Be accountable fully for all the equipment and spares issued to him.
• Provide all the tools and materials required during any repair or maintenance.
• Report any potential hazards noted while on duty.
• Repair and maintain all electrical equipment.
• Prepare and submit the necessary spare parts list to the Chief Engineer or his designate for inspection and ordering.
• Familiarize and take part in fire safety drills.
• Submit a list of tools that are required to carry out maintenance works effectively.
• Maintain equipment in safe and efficient operation of tools and repairs any faulty equipment.
• Participate in all preventive maintenance of all and electrical equipment.

• Operate audio, video and TV equipment as requested by the Chief Engineer or his designate.

• Maintain lights in guest corridors, including light bulbs
• Advise and raise a maintenance order for all repairs which are not within their technical competence.
• Check and keep an accurate log book of all work carried out and materials used.

• Perform other duties and assignments as directed by the immediate Superior / Head of Department from time to time.
