EQUIPMENT OPERATOR (EXCAVATOR)

The heavy equipment operator (mainly excavators) is responsible for the safe & efficient operation of the excavator/hoe. The Operator uses controls to operate the boom & arm, bucket to excavate & hydraulic hammer/breaker for the demolition of structures & for breaking of rocks into smaller sizes.

-  Operate the excavator/loader machinery in a safe and appropriate manner;

-  Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment, as well as routine cleaning;

-  Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, and clean, lubricate and refill equipment as

   necessary;

-  Work with ground personnel, including clients’ site supervisors;

-  Operate other heavy equipment and other construction related duties as required;

-  Loading and off-loading of equipment on transport vehicles;

-  Perform delivery and equipment return checks, as required;

-  Provide timely and accurate feedback on mechanical/electrical issues.
