Draughtsman

 

Main responsibilities

Design drafting

• Create high-quality detailed technical drawings and plans based on designs supplied by architects or engineers and make modifications to existing drawings.

• Use a variety of CAD software programs to create designs and rough sketches.

• Liaise with architects, engineers, and designers to understand their design requirements and provide technical advice to manufacturing and construction technicians.

• Provide accurate, detailed and to scale drawings.

• Ensure drawings are compliant with industry and health and safety standards and protocols.

• Perform calculations for materials and weight limitations.

• Ensure final designs are compliant with building regulations.

• Identify and communicate potential design problems to concern parties.

 Workshop & Construction Support

• Represent architect or engineers on construction site to ensure builder compliance with design specifications and advise on design corrections under architect`s supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Architecture. Professional Qualifications

• AutoCAD certification.

 Experience

• 3 to 5 Years
