RESPONSIBILITIES To perform preparation work for food items for the various outlets and actively participates in all food production areas of the Kitchen Department.

 

Food Production
• Performs all the preparation work for soups, sauces and salad.
• Prepares food items as per instruction.
• Prepares basic culinary items as per standard recipes.

Storekeeping
• Stores all food in refrigerated boxes with covers, labels and dates, using the proper containers to protect against waste and spoilage.

Materials/Equipment Handling & Inventory
• Supplies assigned workstation with all needed products and culinary equipments for prompt production.
• Move supplies and equipments as and when required.
• Verifies that all equipments in the kitchen are kept clean and in proper working order, and reports any equipment in need of repair to the Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie.

Stewarding Duties
• Performs general cleaning tasks, using standard Hotel cleaning products as assigned by superior.
• Ascertains that the floor is kept dry and clean at all times to avoid slip/fall accidents.
• Informs co-workers and Stewards of any areas to be cleaned.
