About the Role: As a Cashier in the Finance Department, you will be responsible for managing daily cash transactions, handling guest payments, and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately handle all cash, credit card, and other forms of payments received from guests and internal departments, ensuring proper documentation and receipts are issued.
Process invoices and receipts efficiently while ensuring all financial records are maintained in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Maintain an organized and updated filing system for all cashiering documents, ensuring ease of access for auditing and reference.
Support the finance team in day-to-day operations, including data entry, compiling reports, and verifying transaction details.
Perform daily cash count, balance cash float, and prepare cash summaries for submission to the Accounts department.
Ensure all transactions are entered correctly into the system, and discrepancies are reported and resolved promptly.
Provide assistance during internal and external audits by preparing requested documents and explaining procedures when necessary.
Deliver a high level of customer service when dealing with guest payments or queries, maintaining a professional and courteous approach at all times.
Requirements:
Minimum SC qualification
Basic knowledge of accounting or finance is an advantage
Good communication and numerical skills
Honest, reliable, and detail-oriented
