Winners, the leading supermarket chain in Mauritius, is looking for a 'Chef de Rayon' who will ensure the efficient operation, optimal product presentation, and commercial success of their assigned section.
Key Responsibilities:
- Place orders to ensure product availability as per the Commercial Masterfile, maintaining required stock levels.
- Follow the ordering and delivery schedule to ensure timely stock replenishment.
- Implement FIFO (First In First Out) and FEFO (First Expired First Out) practices to ensure traceability and minimize product wastage.
- Place orders during the Promotional Purchase Period to optimize Weighted Average Cost (WAC).
- Follow up on Group Orders to ensure timely delivery and stock availability.
- Ensure products are displayed according to the defined Planogram and commercial team guidelines.
- Implement price amendments, ensure accurate price labeling, and verify that products scan correctly at checkout.
- Maintain high standards of product presentation and cleanliness, ensuring the section is always well merchandised.
- Propose and implement action plans to boost sales per category, such as live selling, product tastings, and promotional activities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Form 4 or any other equivalent qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience
- IT Literate with a good understanding of ERP software as an advantage
- Experience in the retail sector will constitute an advantage
Other Requisites:
- Ensure accuracy in ordering, price labeling, and product quality checks
- Strong leadership skills to manage, motivate, and develop staff
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with team members, customers, and management
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and maintain a clean, orderly work environment
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Prepared to work on Saturdays as well as odd hours
