Back End Developer lead

We are looking for an experienced Back End Developer Lead for our client, a well-known Company in Mauritius

Our Client:

We are looking for an experienced Back End Developer Lead for our client, a well-known Company in Mauritius.

Your Role & Responsibilities:

• To design, develop and testing of new features in the application
• Accountable for all backend code & relevant best practices (quality, security, methodology)
• Technical framework, such as: Visual Studio 2019, Azure DevOps; C# Entity framework, MySQL, API (REST full), and Cosmos DB
• Manage code Performance, and maintainability 
• To adhere by coding best practices code comments, creation of logs, traceability of actions
• To sort out any defects in systems
• To improve existing systems by examining business objectives, preparing an action plan and targeting areas for modification and improvement 
• Participate as a team member in fully Agile Scrum deliveries: active member during Agile ceremonies, and populate support tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps suite
• Ensure the backend documentation is at the expected quality level and organize ad hoc remedial action plans
• Create Impact analysis and technical specifications
• Uphold documentation up to date through regular reviews
• To explain developed features through demos to Product Owner & testers
• Define Unit test and code quality test strategy and follow up its implementation with DevOps teams

• Team up with the front-end developers to set objectives and design more functional, cohesive codes to improve the user experience.

Your Profile:

• Degree in computer programming, computer science, or a related field
• 5 - 10 years of professional experience
• Understanding of C#
• Experience with: Visual Studio 2019, Azure DevOps; Entity framework, MySQL, API (REST full), Cosmos DB
• Strong understanding of the web development cycle and programming techniques and tools
• Focus on efficiency, user experience, and process improvement
• Excellent project and time management skills
• Ability to analyze and synthesize - ability to communicate - thoroughness - sense of service - autonomy and initiative
• Fluent in both English and French.
