BI Developer

1. To contribute in development of relevant software modules and reports with respect to user, department, customer and business requirements. 2. To ensure proper running of existing services by performing necessary maintenance on existing systems.

Preferred qualifications and experience:

• Minimum University Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

• Additional studies in communication will be an advantage.

• Previous experience in related field in the ICT Industry will be an advantage.

   

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• To capture requirements from information requester to feed into design phase.

• To analyze and design necessary software and databases to support requests from users, department, customer and business.

• To develop required software based on user, department, customer and business requirements based on SQL, PLSQL, PHP and other relevant development Languages.

• To validate and verify the development/report results of developed software internally & externally and document test results.

• To implement tested software and databases on live system and inform necessary requesters after reporting to the unit Head.

• To take remedial actions for issues related to internal environment and liaise with administrators' team / suppliers to closely follow-up on incidents so as to minimize service outage duration.

• To ensure that current data and configuration is regularly backed-up as per policy.

• To ensure that all data contained within the systems of the datawarehouse are handled with the highest level of secrecy.

• To ensure that data present on live systems are accurate, consistent and precise throughout its life-cycle.

• To provide 2nd level support to users in relation to their information/service requests.

• To ensure all necessary regular [ad-hoc, daily, weekly and monthly] updates are provided to the unit Lead & Head on time and within quality levels.

• To ensure all Incidents are reported within minimum time and communicated to the relevant stakeholders.

• Any other cognate duties delegated by IT Lead-Performance & Business Reporting and Head-Performance & Business Reporting.

   

Preferred skills, knowledge and aptitudes

• Conversant with TCP/IP Protocol Stack.

• Programming skills: PHP, HTML5, CSS, jQuery, Java, XML, SQL, OBIEE, Google Earth/Map API.

• Operating systems: Windows, Linux, Solaris.

• Conversant with Mapping software.

• Databases: Sybase, Oracle 10g, 11g, MySQ.L

• Knowledge of Telecommunication technologies and Quality Management Systems.

• Good Statistical and Numerical Skills.
