Assistant Merchandiser

Created in 1989 and a member of CIEL Textile, CDL is a fully integrated knitting, dyeing and finishing mill located in Forest Side. With a workforce over 400, CDL produces fabric for the fine knits garment-making industry.

CDL is currently looking for an Assistant Merchandiser to assist the merchandiser in everyday product merchandising activities.

The Assistant Merchandiser shall be reporting to the Merchandiser.

What you will be doing:

• Responsible to do all data entry within the set deadline
• Ensure PO correspond with price list communicated to customers and zero occurrence on critical path management
• Ensure samples including strike off are submitted within leadtime
• Liaise with customers for all late orders, defects and do an action planning
• Report warehouse and storekeeper about stock release and stock return
• OTIF Management
• Close order reconciliation prior to shipment
• Ensure signed invoice is sent to Finance after shipment
• Launch and follow-up of lab dips, sample and developments

What are we looking for?

• Minimum HSC
• Computer Literate and at ease using Microsoft Tools(Excellent use of excel including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP)
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral
• Good negotiation skills
• Pro activeness and result driven
• Willingness to meet deadlines and self-driven
• Ability to work under pressure, and above normal working hours
