Art Director

MariDeal.mu based in Grandbaie, we are a local e-commerce marketplace where people discover and save on amazing things to do, see and eat. we're enabling real time commerce across local businesses, travel destinations, consumer products and live events.

Responsibility

The role of a Art Director is to create and determine the layout, font color, font type, logos, pictures and other visual and verbal aspects of a website. First, a Graphic designer determines what the employer wants out of the product. This includes what message is being sent out and what audience is being targeted. They then create sketches and samples of potential layouts for the website, before developing the finished product.

• Art Director have to possess creative flair, originality and a strong visual sense.
• Strong computer skills
• Candidate must be confident, to present and explain ideas to colleagues and directors.
• He/she will be responsible for liaising with the business unit and creating an approved briefing document
• He/she will be responsible for layouts and publicity material, typography and finished artwork
• He/she will need to be a professional graphic designer who produces high quality creative material
• Obtains approval of concept by submitting rough layout for approval.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

• worked for an advertising agency / hotel industry company would be an advantage
• Should have a good basic education plus specialized qualifications in graphic design,
• Must have 3 years’ experience with Apple Macintosh software and be familiar with Adobe Creative Suite specifically Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign, plus Powerpoint / Keynote
• Candidates are required to send at least two pieces of recent work for evaluation along with the CV
