Apprentice Mechanics

The United Basalt Products Ltd. is seeking to recruit Apprentices/Mechanics for its Industrial Vehicle Section
at Geoffroy Road, Engineering Department. The recruit may have to travel to other sites and may not be solely based at Geoffroy Road, Bambous, depending on
the business and clients’ needs.

Key Responsibilities
• Check equipment for proper performance and inspect same to detect faults and malfunctions
• Use of manuals, schematics and drawings to understand functions of equipment and to troubleshoot, maintain and repair
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized or other testing equipment to determine extent of repairs
• Adjust equipment, repair or replace defective parts, components or systems, using hand and power tools
• Operate and test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that work have been done as per manufacturer’s specifications and recommendations
• Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment

Candidate Profile
• School Certificate (SC)
• NTC 3
• 1-3 years experience
• Knowledge in auto-electric field
• Certificate in hydraulics/auto mechanic
• Experience in a similar environment would constitute an advantage
• Computer literate
• Driving license
• Fluency in English and French (written and spoken)
• Multi-tasking
