Adecco is an International HR and Consultancy firm. Our client, in the production and distribution sector, is looking for an Ammonia Plant Technician (Seychelles).

 

Our client, in the production and distribution sector, is looking for an Ammonia Plant Technician (Seychelles).

Reporting to the Senior Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible to monitor, supervise and ensure safe operation of the ammonia plant and associated system.

Main responsibilities:

  • Maintain and operate refrigeration equipment and associated systems to ensure uninterrupted and efficient cold storage facilities.
  • Complete daily log book and check list. Document daily activities pertaining to maintenance, repairs and other observations.
  • Perform PMs on equipment as per set maintenance schedules.
  • Closely monitor ammonia levels, safety devices and leakage detection systems to ensure safe operation at all times.
  • Carry out planned maintenance on equipment as instructed by supervisor.
  • Strictly abide to procedures and policies in place.
  • Immediately report and take appropriate actions in abnormal situations such as ammonia leaks and equipment failures.
  • Ensure GMP, safety, proper housekeeping and best maintenance practices in all working areas.
  • Ensure availability and readiness of all safety equipment.
  • Undertake any other duty as per plant management request and operational needs.

Qualification:

  • Engineering certificate in operations and maintenance of ammonia systems for cold storage facilities.
  • At least five years’ experience in a similar position.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of GMP;
  • Basic Safety information & rules –OSHA 18001;
  • Quality Management System ISO 9001and EMS ISO 14001;
  • Social Accountability policy, Equal Opportunity & Grievance policy;
  • Introduction to HACCP and CCP for the area if there are CCP to respect in the area;
  • Safety training in operations & maintenance of ammonia systems.
