Our Client is seeking to recruit an Accounts Supervisor for its operations. This role is responsible for the maintenance of the organisation's general ledger and related accounting practices including cash flow management, payables, receivables, inventories, fixed assets etc.

 

Responsibilities:

.  Assist the CFO and the Group Accountant in the management of the company accounts and its subsidiaries

. Ensure that the general ledger account and related accounting practices are properly maintained

. Ensure reconciliation of monthly, quarterly statement of management accounts for the organisation and prepare monthly management accounts

. Prepare Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss, Overheads and Schedule reports per department for the organisation

. Advise on major financial issues that can arise

. Ensure timely preparation of monthly and quarterly consolidated accounts

. Ensure timely submission of VAT, TDS, APS and other statutory returns to MRA and other Financial Institutions

. Ensure effective cash flow management for the company - management/reconciliation of all expenses/payments

. Prepare monthly report for submission to management monthly based on required standards and criteria

. Oversee the management of debtors to improve payment turnaround time

. Manage on time payments of suppliers and creditors

. Ensure proper utilisation of the Azurmind (ERP System) financial system and resolution of any concerns/issues arising with the system with support from the service provider and IT department

. Assist Group Accountant and CFO in the preparation of feasibility studies when the need arises including analysis of company expenses and reporting on variances

. Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislations

. Deal with employee issues

. Organise and supervise the work for all staff in the accounts department

Profile:

. Professional qualification such as ACCA and in depth knowledge of accounting principles

. Leadership skills, communication skills

. Seriousness and rigor

. Respecting deadlines and time management

. Compliance to company policies and procedures

. At least 6 - 8 years' of relevant experience in accounting
