Our client, provider of stationery, is looking for an Accounts Payable Officer.
Our client, provider of stationery, is looking for an Accounts Payable Officer.
Reporting to the Manager, the successful candidate will reconcile accounts payable transactions.
Main responsibilities:
- Review and verify invoices and check requests;
- Sort, code and match invoices;
- Set invoices up for payment;
- Enter and upload invoices into system;
- Track expenses and process expense reports;
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments;
- Prepare and perform check runs;
- Post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records;
- Prepare analysis of accounts;
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date;
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues;
- Maintain vendor files;
- Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries;
- Produce monthly reports;
- Assist with month end closing;
- Provide supporting documentation for audits;
- AOB as delegated by the Management.
Qualifications:
- ACCA partially qualified;
- At least 2-3 years of experience in the accounting sector;
- Proven experience in setting up a computerised accounting system/work in a computerised accounting environment.
Candidate profile:
- Good written and spoken English and French;
- Strong interpersonal, organisational, administration and communication skills;
- Ability to work autonomously, use initiative and be proactive;
- Time management skills;
- Good IT knowledge & advanced skills in Microsoft office – Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Pastel Accounting software desirable.
