Tropic Knits Ltd, member of CIEL Textile, is currently looking for a dynamic Accounts Officer to work in the Finance Department. Reporting to the Financial Accountant, the selected candidate will be required to assist in the day to day operations of the department.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that invoices are matched to their corresponding PO.
- Ensure that all invoices are properly matched in the correct period
- Ensure that VAT is correctly imposed on items of the month
- Ensure that credit terms are respected and no delay in payment
- Ensure proper reconciliation performed on SOA received from supplier
- Ensure price discrepancy/discount properly accounted
- Ensure that all circulated schedules amount tally with GL
- Liaise with auditors to answer their queries
- Ensure that all circulated schedules amount tally to GL
- Any other related duties
Competencies:
- Good communication skills
- Basic accounting knowledge
- Knowledge of Microsoft tools
Job Profile:
- HSC with accounting background
- Experience would be an advantage
