Price Guru Ltd, leading online retailer in Mauritius, is looking for an Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Officer to join our team. We are a young, dynamic, hyper growth company looking for smart, creative, hard working people with integrity to join us.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performing basic office tasks, including answering phones, responding to emails, filing, etc.
  • Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records.
  • Process accounting transactions and process payments.
  • Assemble, review and verify invoices against purchase orders
  • Flag and clarify any unusual or questionable invoice items or prices
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and ensure payments are up to date
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
  • Assist with month end closing and provide supporting documentation for audits
  • Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables’ data
  • Prepare bills, invoices and bank deposits
  • Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
  • Verify discrepancies and resolve clients’ billing issues
  • Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients
  • Generate reports detailing accounts receivable status
  • Perform inventory counts.
  • Prepare daily cash collections.
  • Constantly update job knowledge.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • ACCA level 2
  •  Proven accounting experience 2-3 years, preferably as an Accounts Officer.
  • Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software.
  • knowledge of general accounting procedures
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
