Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for accounting processes and tasks including AP & AR processes, general ledger and account reconciliation
  • Prepare and post journal entries on the system and general ledger
  • Responsible for budgeting and cash flow forecast
  • Prepare month end schedules and analysis work
  • To conduct strategic planning, prepare and submit cash flow planning, budget and analysis for the Board’s approval, as well as financial declarations to government and approved bodies.
  • Manage timely monthly closing processes and reconciliations including intercompany transactions 
  • Liaise and process payments to suppliers according to Service Level Agreements
  • Liaise with management companies, banks and other service providers on finance, accounting and administration matters.
  • Responsible for petty cash and credit card expenses
  • Assist with year-end audit and tax queries
  • Participate in system upgrades
  • Assist in review and implementation of an effective system of internal control procedures
  • Prepare financial reports, monitor performance against budgets, forecasts, and prior year in a timely manner
  • Ensure accounting activities are in compliance with the accounting standards 
  • Prepare payroll and file monthly PAYE/CSG/NSF/LEVY/TDS/ PRGF and yearly returns
  • Ensure proper filing of documents and ensure files are kept up to date
  • Assist in HR  and administration matters

Background Requirements:

  • University degree in Accounting and/or Fully ACCA qualified
  • 7+ years’ experience in the Accounting in an international Company or Accounting Firm
  • Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of Global Business and payment or banking industry
  • Knowledge of an Accounting Software is an advantage
