Our Client is seeking to recruit an Accountant/Administrator for its operation in Mauritius. The candidate will report to the Accounting Manager.
Responsibilities:
. Assist in recording accounting activity and preparing statutory financial statements for company's leasing activity in Mauritius and investment holdings
. Ensure that all internal and external due dates for statutory reporting and tax obligations are met
. Have responsibility for the administrative functions of the Mauritius office
. Calculation of monthly lease fees and related invoicing
. Daily accounting tasks including maintenance of local statutory books
. Collection of lease receivables
. Assist in preparation of tax returns and other government filings
. Answer incoming phone calls, faxes, emails
. Other administrative duties as assigned
Profile:
. ACCA qualification or partly
. At least 2 years of experience in Accounting/Finance/Tax
. Effective verbal and written communication in English
. Strong user of MS Office
. Knowledge of JD Edwards would be an advantage
