ASSISTANT MAINTENANCE OFFICER

Job Objective: To assist the maintenance supervisors in the maintenance of various buildings in Port Louis and other locations in Mauritius. Qualifications or experience requirements: MITD NC 4 in electrical installation works or relevant experience in the field.

Experience: candidates must have

• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to team work and driven by results
• Ability work independently and in team
• Knowledge in A/C repairs and maintenance, plumbing and painting
• Knowledge in lift repairs is an advantage
• Minimum 1 year experience in similar field

Duties:

• To assist the Maintenance Supervisor for the maintenance of the building including lifts, plumbing, electrical, firefighting, air conditioners etc
• Ability to understand and resolve complaints of tenants
• Ensure that all tools and equipment are in good working condition
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards (OSHA)
• To inspect the building on a daily basis and determine any repairs and maintenance needed
• Work in cooperation with service providers and contractors
• To perform any other such duties related to the above but not included

Note:

This job requires working outside working hours including late nights and sundays as and when required.
