We’re searching for a driven, detail-oriented Group Accountant to join our holding company’s finance team. You’ll manage financial information across a broad portfolio of businesses, contribute to key decision-making, and play an active role in strengthening our financial systems and processes.
This role is ideal for someone who is energetic, proactive, and eager to grow—a self-starter who takes initiative, communicates well, and brings a positive, solution-driven attitude to the team.
Accounting & Reporting
Maintain accurate financial records for the holding company.
Prepare monthly trial balances, management accounts, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
Assist with group intercompany transactions and cash management.
Ensure compliance with IFRS reporting standards.
Review financial information and enhance its value to stakeholders.
Analysis & Support
Analyse results, identify variances, and provide actionable insights.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, audits, and statutory reporting.
Systems & Processes
Work extensively in Excel to manage, analyse, and consolidate financial data.
Use and maintain Sage (experience advantageous).
Strengthen internal controls and drive process improvements.
Manage multi-currency transactions and reconciliations.
Compliance & Administration
Assist with audit preparation and liaise with external auditors.
Support tax and statutory compliance.
Ensure all documentation and accounting records are properly maintained.
Education
BCom Accounting or equivalent (including core accounting and basic IFRS).
Experience
3–5 years’ relevant accounting experience.
Experience across multiple entities or group structures is preferred.
Technical Skills
Advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups, SUMIFS).
Sage experience (advantageous).
Strong understanding of financial information flows.
Comfortable with digital tools and Microsoft 365.
Soft Skills
Analytical, structured, and detail-oriented.
Self-motivated with strong initiative.
Adaptable, proactive, and able to work independently.
