We are looking for detail-oriented and proactive Engineer(s) – Estimating to join our team and who will play a key role in preparing accurate cost estimates, managing tender submissions, and supporting the commercial aspects of our projects.

Job Profile

We are looking for detail-oriented and proactive Engineer(s) – Estimating to join our team and who will play a key role in preparing accurate cost estimates, managing tender submissions, and supporting the commercial aspects of our projects.

Role and Responsibilities

• Check and analyse costings for tenders.
• Assist in preparing tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other related documentation.
• Prepare budgets for design & build projects.
• Ensure timely submission of tenders and upload all relevant information on ERP.
• Follow up on submitted tenders with consultants for updates.
• Update tender follow-up sheets after submission of new tenders and revised offers.
• Conduct risk analysis for tenders and highlight potential cost impacts.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in all tender submissions.
• Provide input for value engineering proposals to optimise project costs.
• Any other cognate duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Degree in Engineering.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role.

Knowledge, Skills and Attitude

• Good knowledge of engineering concepts and principles.
• Proficiency in using estimation software and tools.
• Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Good time management and organisational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
