To design and implement Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning projects.
Reporting to the Contracts Manager, the job incumbent will be mainly required to:
Key Responsibilities
- •Estimate quantity of materials, prepare bill of quantities including accurate cost estimates and labour for tenders in the field of HVAC•Carry out site surveys as and when required•Analyze drawings, specifications, and tender requirements to determine materials, labor, and equipment needs•Review tender documents thoroughly and promptly raise queries or seek clarifications as required•Ensure timely requests for bonds, testimonials and any other related documents in accordance with tender requirements•Liaise with suppliers for quotations for HVAC equipment.•Evaluate technical compliance of suppliers’ offers against tender qualifications.•Evaluate supplier pricing and determine the most suitable proposal to meet tender requirements•Prepare comprehensive technical and financial proposals, including HVAC system design, for design-and-build projects•Ensure tenders are properly completed as per requirements and submitted to clients within the specified timelines•Attend tender interviews and accurately record discussions in the tender master file.•Based on discussions during tender interviews, provide revised, updated, and/or value-engineered proposals as required•Execute the handover process of awarded bids to the project execution team, ensuring all documentation and details are accurately transferred•Record all documentation in a centralized, shared database for easy access and collaboration.•Maintain and regularly update a pricing database for equipment, accessories, freight costs, and related items•Create and update clients’ data in the company’s computerized system.
Qualifications & Experience
- •Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent•Fully conversant with MS Office applications•Minimum 3 years of proven experience in estimating works in M&E
Other Requisites
- •Proficiency in HVAC design and equipment selection softwares will be a strong advantage•Proactive, disciplined, and willing to take challenges•Capable of working under pressure & being result oriented•Prior exposure to execution of HVAC works on site would be an advantage
