A CCTV officer monitors security camera feeds to detect and report suspicious activities, emergencies, and rule violations. The key duties include operating surveillance systems, maintaining equipment, logging events, responding to incidents, and liaising with on-site security

 Responsibilities:

• Monitor CCTV feeds in real-time
• Detect and report suspicious activity or incidents
• Log all security events
• Assist in evidence retrieval for investigations
• Liaise with onsite guards, emergency services, and management

 Key Competencies and Skills

• Excellent observation and attention to detail
• Good judgment and decision-making
• Ability to work under pressure or in crisis situations
• Good report writing and communication skills
• Technologically literate (basic IT skills)
• Alertness for long hours of monitoring
• Ability to work in rotational shifts, weekends, and public holidays
• Good vision

Experience

1–2 years in a security or monitoring role.

Experience in:

• Real-time monitoring of multiple camera feeds
• Incident identification and response
• Working in estates, hotels, retail, or high-security zones

Qualifications:

• Minimum Secondary school certificate (e.g., SC, O-Level, or equivalent).
• Additional training or certification in security, electronics, or surveillance technology would be an added advantage
