Can I create several accounts? |
| |
You can only create 1 account using the same email address. |

Can I have an account but keep it inactive for now? |
| |
Yes you can! You can create your CV on the website, and keep it disabled. In this case, companies cannot see your CV, and you will not be able to apply for jobs before activating your CV again. You can decide to activate your CV again whenever you want to. |

What is myjob.mu for? |
| |
myjob.mu is an Mauritian provider of online careers and recruitment resources. Job Seekers will be able to apply for jobs, in Mauritius or overseas, on internet. |

How do I get my username and password? |
| |
Once your CV or account has been created, you will receive your username and password on your email address. Please make sure that you provide the correct email address. If either username or password has been forgotten, you can contact us on info@myjob.mu with the following details: name, surname and email address. We will email your username and password back to your current email address. |

How do I create my CV? |
| |
• Go to homepage www.myjob.mu, click on “New to My job? Do your CV” in the Job Seeker’s corner • Fill in the details on the registration form. Accept the terms and conditions and click on create • You will receive a confirmation message. You then need to access your email account to obtain your username and password • Then go back to www.myjob.mu to login with the same username and password to access your account • VERY IMPORTANT: You now need to complete your CV by adding education, experience and language. Only then will you be able to activate your account. Log in, click on add education, enter your education details, click add. You will be given options to add other education details. When you have entered all your details, click on return to pain panel, then add experience, and then add language. Do the same for each. Then, click on activate your CV • Your CV is now created! • Apply for a job on internet!

Why is my CV disabled? |
| |
All incomplete CVs are considered as disabled. In order to activate your CV, you need to complete the education, experience and language sections of your CV. Only then will you be given the option to activate your CV. To do so, simply click on activate at the top of your account homepage.

What happens when I apply for a job online? |
| |
When applying for a job online, employers receive your MyJob CV in their account. Your name is listed among CVs of applicants who are interested in this particular job. Employers can then access your CV and contact you. |

How much do I need to pay to put my CV online? |
| |
Nothing! It is totally free to put your CV online, and you do not have to pay for anything when you get a job. |

Who can see my CV? |
| |
Only company members will be able to see that your CV is online. Candidates cannot see other candidates’ CVs.

What are the options for confidentiality? |
| |
In order to ensure your confidentiality, you are provided with the option of creating a ‘public’ CV or a ‘private’ CV. Public CVs are completely open to employers, with the exception of contact details. Yet, in the “private” mode, your name does not appear, unless you apply for a job. Then, when you apply, your name appears on your CV and can only be seen by the company you applied for. |

How do I search for jobs? |

On the homepage (top left corner), click on find jobs. All the available jobs will appear, starting from the most recent one. Only 10 job adverts are shown on the first page. In order to see all the other jobs, click on all vacancies. Do not worry about applying to late if you find interesting jobs on the last page! If it was too late, you would not be able to see the job advert online. You will be able to see the closing dates of all applications next to the job offer. Moreover, you can see more details about the job by clicking on show. You may also look for jobs by using the “Vacancy Matches” found on the top right corner of your account homepage. You will obtain a list of available jobs that match with your education or experience. You can click on a vacancy to see the details.

How to apply for a job? |

In all cases, you must create your CV first, since it is only from your account that you will be able to apply. When you are registered, you need to login with your username and password in the job seekers corner and then click on Find jobs to see the list of available jobs. You may then select the job offer of your interest and click on “apply” at the bottom of the page. A final page will open to enable you to insert your motivation letter. Then just click send and it will go directly to the company’s job offer. You may be able to apply for jobs in Mauritius and abroad. |

How do I know that companies have received my application? |
| |
When you apply for a job, you will be asked to join a motivation letter to your CV if you wish. Then, you click on send. You should then see a message saying that your CV has been sent. Once you see this, you can be sure that companies have received your application, and there is no need to apply a second time. Companies should, a few days/weeks later, accept or reject your application is which case, you receive a message on both your MyJob account and your email address. |
