Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform daily check of the animal’s health, breeding condition and behaviour.
• Ensure well-being and welfare of animals.
• Prepare feed for the animals and conducts assessments of feeding habits.
• Clean and disinfect the exhibits as per the set procedure.
• Check the enclosures and fences daily.
• Ensure the enrichment program is followed.
• Capture and restrain animals for veterinary work or for transfer to another enclosure.
• Report to Head Keepers of any findings.
• Participate on call roster for emergency procedures.
• Conduct talks to the public on animal related topics.
• Assist and train animals.
• Participate for guided tours and/or workshops.
• Perform any other cognate duties as required.

Candidate’s Profile:

• Passionate about animals
• A good understanding of how the park functions.
• Ability to communicate at all levels both orally and in writing.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Dynamic and outgoing personality.
• Demonstrate interest and enthusiasm for animal conservation, management and welfare.
