Adecco is an International HR and Consultancy firm. Our client, in the offshore sector, is looking for a Trust Accountant (fully qualified).
The incumbent will be required to carry out and manage, as appropriate, all accounting duties for a portfolio of clients with varying level of complexity in order to ensure the smooth flow of operations and meeting customers’ expectations. It is a prerequisite for the candidate to have prior working experience in book-keeping and preparation of accounts for a portfolio of trusts and companies, with particular emphasis on trust accounting.
Key responsibilities
- Set up and maintain proper books of accounts on relevant accounting software
- Record movements on bank accounts into the general ledger
- Prepare bank reconciliations and cash movement reports for clients
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date book-keeping of transactions
- Prepare management accounts, annual financial statements and annual trust accounts, as the case may be
- Ensure timely approval and filing of accounts
- Prepare valuations and such other reports as may be required
- Liaise with clients and third parties such as auditors and banks
Qualifications and experience
- Minimum 2 years’ working experience in preparing trust and company accounts
- Degree holder in accounting field and/or (partly/fully ACCA or ACA qualified)
- Holding a STEP qualification (either fully or partly) will be a definite advantage
