Technical In Charge (Madagascar)

 PROFILE:

• Minimum of 5- 6 years experience in a similar position in garment manufacturing
• Results and Quality oriented
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• A Team player
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Structured thinking abilities, proactive with analytical and problem solving skills.
• Technical knowledge in pattern making, fitting and sewing construction details is definitely an advantage.

•   Degree holder in Textile Technology or equivalent is an advantage

   

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure best method lined up for

- Aesthetic effect aimed for by Customer

-Feasibility at Sampling and bulk manufacturing.

• Ensure all technical implications for any style are correctly assessed by you. Have a rapid response and innovative approach to technical issues
• Identify potential problem areas and high risks and devise routes to handle such areas and risks from materializing during bulk production
• Be the main technical solution provider and technical support/ backup to Factory team.
• Carry out bulk pattern amendments on internal size sets after analyzing shrinkage test, construction details and seam allowances.
• Organise and lead effective Pre-production meetings on all styles.

• Objectives of the meetings are:
• Line up of machines / attachments needed
• Identifying  potential high risks in various stages of production (cutting, printing / embroidery, sewing, washing, finishing) & finding solutions.
• Prepare mock ups to validate any process.
