Adecco is an International HR and Consultancy firm. Our client, an Offshore Company based in western region, is looking for a Team Leader - Accountant (9 AM – 6 PM).

 

Our client, an Offshore Company based in western region, is looking for a Team Leader - Accountant (9 AM – 6 PM).

Reporting to the Group Accounting Director, the successful candidate will be in charge to develop the new Anglo Caribbean accounting hub and will be responsible to manage and control the companies’ portfolio. He/She will be the main contact person to base managers, local CFO, Tax and accounting compliance services company and legal auditors.
 
Main responsibilities:

  • Implementation and integration of these new companies in respect of current process and methodologies, in relation and cooperation with the SSC team, Group Accounting Director and base manager.
  • Recovery and rework of current accounting books.
  • AP and GL accounting processing.
  • AP Payment proposal preparation.
  • Review and prepare payment instructions for transfers upon request.
  • Filling.
  • Bank process and postings.
  • Manage and review bank reconciliations.
  • Suppliers following and reconciliations.
  • Inter-company following and reconciliations.
  • Review and preparation of VAT (monthly).
  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly closing activities (cut off, Balance sheet reconciliation, closing transactions and account analyses…).
  • Preparation of annual accounts for management purposes and in accordance with IAS and IFRS for filing with regulators.
  • Review and ensure that all invoices received from creditors are properly input on accounting system.
  • Manage related party transaction and reconciliation both on the income statement and on the statement of financial position on a monthly basis.
  • Direct relation with base managers, local CFO and Tax and accounting compliance services company.

Qualification:

  • ACCA 3 complete or partly-qualified, end of ACCA 2 or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years’ experience minimum.

Candidate profile:

  • Knowledge in Anglo-Saxon accountings.
  • Previous experience on Sage Pastel and/or Quickbooks will be an advantage.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Fluent in English and French.
  • Conscientious, quality of deliveries, autonomous and pro-active.
  • Compliance with deadline.
  • Relationship and future quality of management.
  • Dynamic & Self Motivated.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Ability to work within a team and under pressure.
