System and Network Administrator

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design, Install, configure and maintain system, network (LAN and WAN) which include servers, network, security and other IT equipment. 
- Maintain a thorough understanding of LAN/WAN/WLAN/ Virtualisation 
- Ensure proper management of access rights for the system users, in compliance with corporate security rules. 
- Assess performance levels and conduct redesign of certain elements of the corporate network, hardware or software to project future needs. 
- Commissions installed ICT equipment, software and other related services for users. 
- Identifies user problems while working within a structured problem management and resolution process to remediate them 
- Follows-up and ensures proper documentation/reporting after each support and update appropriate service documentation of all activities conducted 
- Ensure all necessary safeguards to maintain the security of data flowing through the enterprise network 
- Perform routine maintenance and backup on servers including replication and restore drills 
- Performs risk analysis and prepares network configurations solutions for change or migration requests 
- Analyses and implements solutions that take into consideration all the complexities and challenges involved 
- Focuses attention and resources upon meeting deadlines, priorities and objectives and maintains close over all specific task assigned to ensure on time completion 
- Participate in the development of IT roadmap design strategies and technologies 
- Assist the manager in ensuring that the IT Infrastructure meets the business requirements

PROFILE

- Degree in ICT / Computer Science Engineering 
- Certifications for example MCSA/MCSE, CCNA or VCP will be an advantage 
- Experience in Disaster Recovery infrastructure will be an advantage 
- Minimum 2-3 years’ working experience in a similar position 
- Experience in system and network development, deployment, and support.
- Strong troubleshooting skills 
- Windows server administration and VMware technologies.
