Reservation Consultant for the Indian Market Cluster
Take stock of requests / bookings/ Quotes received from Tour Operators, direct customers and/or from any other source , for the Indian market
*Requests would be for both FIT & Small Groups
*Dispatching of emails among the team ensuring that the workload is distributed equitably
*Ensure that responses are on time, acknowledged with proper follow-up
*Keep Market Leader in the loop, early morning, re number of requests/bookings/quotes received and being dealt with.
*At mid-day to check status of the work of the team, report to Market Leader and ensure that all requests are dealt with the same day
*Respond to queries received from Tour Operators by email, skype and/or Phone as per defined procedures
*Liaise with suppliers on a daily basis, for services such as; Accommodation, Transportations, excursions, weddings, golf and any other service which is requested by the customer
*Input & update confirmed bookings on the Reservation’s Booking System, for maintenance of customer’s database, reservations and billing purposes
*Issue pro-forma invoices for all bookings which are confirmed - For Tour Operators who have a ‘Pre-payment’ agreement, to follow-up and close monitoring of payments as per procedures, in relationship with our Business Support Team
*Issue booking vouchers for our Tour Operators, as soon as payment is received.
*Issue supplier’s vouchers for our suppliers as soon as the bookings are confirmed and finalized
*Deal with supplier’s contracts and special offers for Tour operators
*Do profiling of the customer and upsell services, whenever required
*Manage room inventory / stop sales for the Indian Market
*Work-on packages for the Indian Market for the contractual year as and when required under the Supervision of the Market Leader
*Update the existing packages whenever the rates change and/or special offers are sent under the Supervision of the Market Leader
*Any other business related to reservation activities
*Perform any other cognate duties as may be assigned
Must have at least 2 years’ experience at Reservations level and have a good knowledge of the Indian Market
*Must be reactive and be able to respond to customer’s queries promptly
*Must be able to work in a team and be multi-tasked
*Must be flexible and able to work odd hours whenever required especially in high & peak season
*Must be well-organized and have good time management skills
*Must have excellent communication skills: Oral & written in English and French
*Must be computer literate
*Must be dynamic, creative and ready to go the extra- mile
*Must have a positive attitude
