Our client, an International Bank is looking for a Regulatory Compliance Lead - Retail Banking and Wealth Management (RBWM), Operations and Global Functions (GF).
The successful candidate will ensure strong partnership with the RBWM, Operations and GF businesses and leadership team.
Main responsibilities:
• Act as risk steward for RBWM, Operations and GF with respect to risks under the Regulatory Compliance Level 3 risk taxonomy.
• Drive coordination and execution of Regulatory Compliance work streams and assurance in Mauritius.
• Provide policy advice related to RBWM, Operations and GF products, services and clients.
• Ensure the Regulatory Compliance function is adequately resourced to address risks associated with RBWM, Operations and GF.
• Be knowledgeable about regional regulatory changes, oversee these changes in Mauritius.
• Lead with authority and collaborate with multi stakeholders to deliver results.
• Be able to influence senior management and articulate clear business reasons for change initiatives.
Qualification / Candidate profile:
• Strong experience as a front-line relationship manager or in a leading operational role with significant experience in a managerial position.
• Thorough understanding of the products and services offered by RBWM, Operations and GF in Mauritius.
• Experience in dealing with regulatory matters and interacting with Regulators.
• Experience within a matrix environment with international reporting is preferred.
• Clear understanding of Operational Risk Management Framework.
• Good knowledge of rules and regulations governing the local banking sector.
• Ability to develop practical and cost-effective solutions to complex issues, interpreting and analysing a large volume of information and data.
• Able to articulate the case for risk management and policy through excellent communication, interpersonal skills and strategic thinking.
