Product Leader’s position is a technical role within the Product Development dept and Marketing dept. This demands high technical expertise which is acquired over the time.
Duties and responsibilities
- Ensure to understand the customer’s specifications- Quality, fabric parameters and standards.
- Ensure that you are at ease with fabric and garment testing requirement and testing methods.
- Understand the Tropic Knits Process and procedures for the development of garment to its production
- Providing to your internal customers a world class technical pack with précised information / clear sketch / HTM/ printing sheet/ Embro sheet/ Nibbling sheet / Zooms where appropriate,
- Responsible to re-engineering products to minimize cost
Competencies
- Adobe illustrator, Photo shop
- Ability to draw technical pack
- Sewing techniques
- Garment construction knowledge
- Fitting knowledge
- Basic pattern knowledge
- Knowledge of MS Office
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
The ideal profile would be:
- Candidate with a BSc Fashion Design or Textile technology or any other qualification acceptable by management.
- At least 1- 3 years of experience as Product Leader or Garment Technologist
- Experience in Textile would be an advantage
