Responsibilities :
Assist the Procurement Manager in the delivery of the Group Procurement department objectives and associated monthly reporting.
Tasks are mainly and not limited to:
- Generate purchase orders, work from approved expense purchase requests; verify supplier product information, shipping information, delivery dates, taxes, and other related information
- Ensure orders are placed, processed and materials/goods delivered according to department quality, timeline and budget guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and complete files of all procurement resources for future reference
- Maintain supplier databases and supplier evaluations based on service, quality, price and delivery
- Produce reports and statistics detailing and explaining accomplishments and activities in the department
- Work with the Accounting Team to verify invoices from suppliers against purchase orders and assist with the resolution against any discrepancies.
- Liaise with banks for regular chase ups or queries;
- Assist in loading transactions on Pastel.
- Engage with key functional business partners in enabling ongoing supplier relationship management, monitoring, review and continuous improvement.
- Develop and enhance processes, systems and reporting capabilities to drive efficiencies in providing regional procurement services
- Ensure proper filing management for each order
- Liaising with DHL/TNT for all courier;
Profile:
- Bachelor of Science or equivalent required in Purchasing Management or related Business degree with 3-5 years proven work experience
- Highly numerate, with experience of financial/business analysis.
- Open mindset, accurate, persistent, innovative
- Energetic, driven, and ambitious
- Strongly proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Able to work well in a small team.
- A self-starter and Highly flexible
- A high level of oral and written communication skills.
- Organisational skills
