Payroll Officer

To process monthly payroll for all employees and maintain close check up on the time and attendance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

•  Review, verify and process payroll data for preparation of bank transfer.
•  Review reports from outside payroll service and bring any discrepancies to the attention of the Financial Controller and Director of HR immediately.
•  Assist in preparation and monthly follow up of Payroll Budget.
•  Ensure proper payroll filing system.
•  Assist in month end process, accruals and payroll journals and prepare relevant reports.
• Ensure the smooth running of payroll audits, documentation of the audits as well as action plans to resolve any discrepancies.
• Prepare requested reports for Finance and Human Resources departments.
• Ensure labour law compliance as it pertains to basic salary, overtime, compensation and job classification.
• Ensure a proper payroll verification system. 
• Prepare labour and productivity reports for discussion with Department Heads and Assistant Director of Finance.
• Ensure payroll taxes are collected, remitted and filed accurately and timely.
• Reconcile pay check discrepancies with Department Heads or individual employees.
• Review employee status changes and requests with the Human Resources Department to ensure accurate data entry.
•  Assist the Human Resources Department with employee’s and pay check requests, employment verification forms and similar requests.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

•  Degree in Human Resources/Finance from a recognized institution. 
•  At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar function is a must. Prior experience within hotel industry would be a definite advantage.
• Well versed with Labour laws.
•  Advanced level in Excel would be a definite advantage.
•  Possesses high levels of professional integrity and confidentiality.
