Adecco is an International HR and Consultancy firm. Our client, an Energy Service Company with an operational focus in Africa provides reliable, clean and renewable on-grid and off grid power delivery solutions is looking for a Payroll Officer.
Reporting to the Financial Controller and to the Human Resources Manager, the Payroll Officer is required to assist in the timely preparation of payroll related data, statistics, and other reports and to provide support to the Finance Departments.
Main Accountabilities:
- Support with the capturing and reviewing of Time and Attendance data as may be required by payroll.
- End to end processing of selected (weekly, fortnightly and monthly) payroll(s).
- Updating and maintaining payroll records.
- Payroll administration – filing, setting up new starters.
- Calculation and payment of termination payments.
- Processing increases and calculation of back pays.
- Reconciling payroll related GL accounts.
- Submit workforce analytics as requested by the Human Resources team.
- Roll out any projects as the Finance and/or Human Resources department(s) as may be required by Management.
Qualification:
- At least HSC
- Diploma or any relevant qualifications
Candidate profile:
- 3 years experience in payroll
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook
- Good written and oral business communication skills.
- Having an eye for detail and strong analytical skills.
