NETWORK OPERATIONS CENTRE (NOC) TECHNICIAN
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for monitoring the Backbone, Backhaul, Access and customer network of the ISP
- Responsible for the monitoring of system software on all current platforms within the data center
- Monitor all network and data center hardware platforms for hardware and operating system related alerts, errors, warnings, performance, communications related issues, or problem conditions
- Submit jobs and tasks, views and collects statistical information, research problems, logs, and the ending of jobs or tasks as needed using all menus, commands, and scripts
- Responsible for the verification of systems or any communications related items on all applicable platforms within the network
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required
- Daily reporting of all network related events
Profile and Qualifications:
- HSC or higher
- Cisco certified Network Associate
Job Skills, Knowledge & Attitude:
- 1-2 years’ experience in a 24/7 operations or help desk environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience working in a NOC environment, utilizing typical office equipment and multiple systems
- Will be required to work evening and night shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Holder of a valid Driver’s License
