Network Architect-TX & Datacom

Responsible for planning, design, implementation, operations and maintenance of Emtel Datacom network infrastructure so as to ensure that the Network Operation unit achieves its business objectives which are annually reviewed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum engineering degree in Telecommunications, Networks or other related discipline
• Technical certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, JNCIS and higher

Preferred Experience

• 3+ years of networking experience at ISP level  

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Ensure smooth operation of all Datacom Network Equipment
2. Ensure the expansion of Emtel's Datacom network through the implementation of the projects as per budget
3. Oversee the rollout of Enterprise fixed access services by designing, planning and validating solutions as per Commercial's requirement.
4. To be responsible for installing, maintaining and supporting customer equipment and networks with regards to all technical Emtel services provided by Emtel Ltd.
5. Resolves problems by providing troubleshooting and network problem resolution as per SLA; analyzing problems with test equipment
6. To carry out departmental activities while giving due attention on minimizing downtime for Mobile and Fixed Network. 
7. Ensure all transmission, Fixed and datacom network databases, inventories & log reports are constantly updated and accurate.
8. Provide day to day technical support to commercial broadband Unit to resolve problems and issues by providing clear clarifications by ensuring the agreed quality as per company standards.
9. To provide analytical and technical solutions to fulfill the customer requests with regards to Data Networks and Solutions provided by Emtel Ltd.
10. Prepare adhoc reports as required by the technical management
