Mechanical Engineer [Tornado Ltd]

To assist with the estimation exercises for projects.

Main Duties:

•  Estimate quantity of materials and prepare costing of tenders
• Take off quantities from plans and prepare BOQ
• Check and measure extra work on sites and price all variations accordingly
• Prepare materials requirements for production
• Advise clients on technical matters
•  iaise with clients, architects and engineers
• Prepare all supporting documents for tenders
• Liaise with Engineers and Contracts Managers to follow-up progress of claims
• Create and update clients’ data on computerized system

 Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a similar position acquired preferably in a contracting environment and HVAC field
• Fully conversant with HVAC shop drawings and construction drawings

Other Requisites

• Self-organizer with strong analytical skills.
• Computer literate and fully conversant with Microsoft Excel
• Able to handle pressure and work within tight deadlines
• Holder of a valid and clean driving license
