Our client is seeking to recruit a Marketing, Fundraising, Communications and Sponsorship Coordinator for its operation
Responsibilities
Fundraising
. Work in team for the implementation of Marketing, Fundraising, Communications & Sponsorship strategies, plans and programme.
. Assist in the planning and organisation of yearly fundraising activities.
. Follow up implementation and reporting for funds received.
. Keep up to date and accurate record of information.
. Support facilities in the organisation of fundraising activities.
Marketing & Communications
. Visit prospective donors and deliver presentations to raise awareness about the organisation.
. Support and organise activities / events for branding and awareness.
. Plan and organise visits / guided tours.
International Sponsorship
. Be familiar with International Sponsorship and be able to backup process which are in place for the effective compliance with the International Sponsorship Manual.
. Assist in the monitoring of the preparation of projects for money gifts and disbursement of money.
. Assist and support the implementation of International Sponsorship requirements.
. Ensure that proper keeping of records for accountability regarding sponsorship and fundraising information.
. Meet accounting and auditing requirements relating to the department.
Profile:
. Ideally a degree in marketing or acceptable alternative qualifications.
. Work experience and/ or exposure to the sales/marketing and advertising/printing environment.
. Work experience in an NGO would be an advantage.
. Wide network of business and corporate contacts.
. Proficiency in Microsoft applications, internet and Microsoft Outlook.
. Dynamic and outgoing personality.
. Ability to network, initiate and build relationships with potential donors and funders.
. Good communication skills in both oral and written English and French.
. Sense of rigour and ability to work according to objectives.
. Good leadership skills and be a team player.
. Capable of working with little supervision.
. Resourceful in terms of creative and innovative ideas.
. Willingness to learn and innovate.
