Adecco is an International HR and Consultancy firm. Our client, an NGO, is looking for a Management Assistant-HR.
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing services and assistance for the smooth running of the HR function and the implementation of the HR cycle in the Organisation.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist and give support to the HR Manager with regards to HR functions such as recruitment, staff orientation, training, performance management.
- Perform the payroll administration.
- Keep personnel database up to date and ensure follow up of end of probations and contracts.
- Give line managers/ supervisors support and advice for the effective implementation of HR processes (incld. Absence Management, Performance Management, Training, Recruitment…).
- Assist with other activities such as Budget preparation and Strategic Planning.
- Collect and analyse data and write reports, letters and other documents
- Ensure filing system is kept in an up-to-date and professional manner.
Qualifications:
- A diploma/ degree in Human Resource Management
- Professional experience of at least two years in a similar position
- Proven experience in conducting Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and organising trainings/workshops.
- Good knowledge of Mauritian employment laws
- Proficient in the use MS Word, Excel, Power point and payroll software. Practical knowledge of Sicorax payroll software is an advantage.

- Good business communication skills. Able to interact with staff at different levels from Operatives to Management staff and external stakeholders
- Good analytical skills with good attention to details especially for processing of payroll.
- Able to work as self-starter with much independence.
