MECHANIC (HEAVY VEHICLES)

Provides automotive services by performing inspections, repairs, maintenance, and installations efficiently, safely and according to Axess’s quality and time standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure complete service and repair assignments correctly, to pass quality inspections or test drives;

• Maintain cleanliness of customer’s vehicles;
• Ensure complete repair orders within specified time frame and alerts appropriate personnel if delayed.
• Perform factory warranty repairs according to established procedures.
• Complete warranty repair orders according to policy.
• Use diagnostic procedures to identify the symptoms of the problem, the conditions under which they occur, the OASIS symptom codes that are appropriate for the symptoms listed, as well as how often the symptoms occur.
• Overhaul and reassemble the simple mechanical assembly of light mechanical vehicle, which includes; carrying out minor adjustments to brakes, clutches and other mechanical parts of light mechanical vehicles, locating and repairing minor mechanical faults and maintaining and repairing bicycles and their components.
• Repair and adjust clutches, gearboxes, coupling, rear axles, brakes systems (ordinary hydraulic and power brakes), steering systems, springs, swivel pins, and stub axles.
• Assist Service Advisors with explaining completed repairs to a customer if necessary.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

1. Minimum SC Level;

2. 1 - 2 years of experience in the same job;

3. NC2 in Automobile Mechanic or any equivalent technical qualification from a recognized institution;
4. Ability to work under pressure, organize work load and meet deadlines.
