Our client, a Freeport Procurement Company, is looking for a Logistics Planner. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Logistics Manager and act as a point of contact between manager, employees, customers and suppliers.
Main Responsibilities:
1) Communication and provide information by relevant methods internally and externally to assist and enable organizational operations and effective services.
2) Act as a point of contact between domestic and regional clients, and suppliers.
3) Type and word process various documents and electronic information/
4) Write and distribute email, correspondences memos, letters, faxes and forms.
5) Complete operational requirements which involves:
-Create various documents, drafting of pro forma/ commercial invoices, order forms and all other shipping documents and ensuring the follow ups in terms of documentation.
-Follow up of orders in terms of production, tracing, tracking and expediting orders.
-Create and maintain contact with suppliers and customers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Ensure payments are processed in time.
- Interact with third party logistics service providers.
- Develop and maintain a filing system.
- Handling requests and queries appropriately.
- Produce reports, presentations and briefs.
- Answer phone calls and redirect them when necessary.
- Undertake occasional receptionist duties.
- Supporting the commercial and Logistics Managers in every possible way.
Qualifications:
1) Experience in the Logistics and commercial field.
2) Good written and verbal communication skills
3) Proficiency in MS office
