Casela Ltd. is looking for a highly-motivated and skilled candidate on a full-time basis for the position of Kitchen Chef.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the preparation, portioning and garnishment of all foods and ensure a high level of quality and presentation is achieved at all times according to agreed standards.
- Create and develop menu concepts with innovation and creativity that strengthens our business ambitions.
- Analyse and understand consumer purchasing habits to develop menu strategies for continued growth.
- Control food costs and maintain the agreed target set.
- Conduct regularly presentations of new novelties to stay in line with operational trends.
- Manage and oversee all logistics for outdoor catering.
- Oversee and control proper storage, packing and freezing in the food store.
- Provide all employees proper training and counseling as needed in accordance with the company’s policy and procedures.
- Maintain kitchen equipment and plant in good condition and conduct preventive maintenance.
- Ensure high standards of customer service and employee relations.
- Ensure HACCP procedures and practices are maintained in a consistent manner.
- Adhere to health regulations and ensure all conditions and standards are met.
- Perform any other job-related duties.
Candidate’s Profile:
- Hold as minimum Diploma in culinary Art with minimum 5 years of experience in similar position and/or any other relevant qualification
- Excellent Knowledge of food preparation, presentation and preservation.
- Ability to write menus that are both creative and innovative.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Possess good interpersonal skills.
- Be flexible and work odd hours
